Unsere Gruppe untersucht neuronale Mechanismen, die der Verarbeitung von sensorischen Informationen auf dem Gebiet der zwischenmenschlichen Kommunikation, der Legasthenie und des (Sprach-)Lernens zugrunde liegen. Es werden verschiedene neuropsychologische Methoden wie f/dMRT, tDCS, EMG, Eye Tracking und Verhaltensexperimente eingesetzt. Wir suchen derzeit eine motivierte und enthusiastische studentische Hilfskraft, die unsere Forschung unterstützt, insbesondere eine fMRT-Studie zur visuellen Verarbeitung sowie künftige Studien zu Entwicklungsdyslexie und Autismus-Spektrum-Störungen.

Student Assistant (m/f/x) - (8 hrs./week)

At the Faculty of Psychology, Institute of Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, the Chair of Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience is seeking to employ a student as
Student Assistant (m/f/x) - (8 hrs./week) - starting November 1, 2026 and limited until October 31, 2027. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG) as well as the Higher Education Act in the Free State of Saxony (Sächsisches Hochschulgesetz – SächsHSG) in conjunction with the TdL guidelines (collective bargaining association for the German federal states) for Student Assistants and Research Assistants dated February 28, 2024.

Tasks:

academic support, especially:

  • participant recruitment and study preparation
  • participation in data collection and analysis,
  • involvement in conducting fMRI and behavioral experiments

Requirements:

  • student of psychology, medicine or related field
  • ability to work responsibly and independently
  • ability to work in a team
  • excellent command of German and English
  • experience in conducting psychological experiments and data analysis is preferred
