The Process Dynamics and Operations Group is seeking a new member / postdoctoral researcher to undertake long-term responsibilities in research and teaching, as well as to lead a research group focused on process intensification closely connected to methods of modeling and optimizing chemical engineering processes - particularly novel process concepts- and to organize the operation of the pilot-plant with a focus on process automation.
Specific responsibilities include:
(1) Independently conduct and further develop lectures on process modeling, process operations and process and plant dynamics, as well as organizing laboratory courses
(2) Supervising undergraduate theses and actively advising and supervising doctoral candidates
(3) Preparing grant proposals and independently securing research projects (including industry collaborations)
(4) Organizing pilot-plant operations, as well as the development and enhancement of industrial process control technology for test benches and internal and external pilot plants
(5) Coordinating and advancing the research focus on “Intensified Processes” within the department
