Work­ing field:

Research in the field of cut­ting ceramic com­pos­ite mater­i­als. The fields of activ­ity range from basic research to applied research.
The pro­ject con­tent par­tic­u­larly addresses the machin­ing of ceramic com­pos­ite mater­i­als with geo­met­ric­ally defined and undefined cut­ting edges. In addi­tion to the oper­a­tional pro­cessing, the tasks also include the coordin­a­tion of fur­ther research tasks, com­mu­nic­a­tion with pro­ject part­ners and the present­a­tion of res­ults at mile­stone and final meet­ings as well as at inter­na­tional con­fer­ences.


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in mech­an­ical engin­eer­ing, pro­duc­tion tech­no­logy or related stud­ies
  • will­ing­ness to do sci­entific work in a ded­ic­ated team
  • very good com­mand of spoken and writ­ten Ger­man and Eng­lish
  • in-depth know­ledge in man­u­fac­tur­ing tech­no­logy as well as in test plan­ning and exe­cu­tion is neces­sary
  • exper­i­ence in the field of CNC-machin­ing with ultra­sonic assist­ance, regard­ing cut­ting of com­pos­ite mater­i­als and in the field of machine learn­ing is desir­able
