At the Institute of Radiooncology – OncoRay scientists (f/m/d) specializing in medicine, physics, biology and IT work together to crucially improve the treatment of cancer by administering radiation therapy that is biologically-personalized and technically-optimized.

The Department of Medical Radiation Physics is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who is passionate about working as an EU Project Manager (f/m/d) with a group of motivated PhD students and their supervisors in a 4-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) Doctoral Network RAPTORplus “Right-time Adaptive Particle Therapy Of canceR - Personalisation through anatomical plus biological adaptation”.

RAPTORplus will work towards facilitating the efficient, safe and widespread implementation of online adaptive particle beam radiotherapy (OAPT) in Europe in partnerships with leading particle therapy centres and industry, through technological advancements and biological personalisation. The collaborative European research and training network funded by the Horizon Europe program is creating awareness for the necessity and complexity of OAPT among the next generation of research leaders, medical physicists and entrepreneurs: Eighteen doctoral candidates will be trained and educated in the interdisciplinary and international environment of the RAPTORplus consortium consisting of high-profile universities, research institutions, academic hospitals, PT facilities, market-leading companies and public organizations located in 13 countries.

The successful candidate will manage the administration of the project including reporting, training, operational and financial aspects in collaboration with the Project Coordinator and will be based at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden – Rossendorf (HZDR, Germany).
