Our research is devoted to the controlled synthesis, the characterization and to application scenarios of nanostructured materials with electro- and biofunctional properties. This advertised position is settled within the research interests of the Post graduate program "Integrated Energy Supply Modules for Roadbound E-Mobility", in short "mobilEM". The program is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and explores the physical foundations of electro-chemical energy storage and its combination with novel fuel-operated range extender units. Fuel-operated range extenders allow a reasonable dimensioning of the electrical energy storage system size and its thermal conditioning. Research within this program is highly interdisciplinary. Moreover, special qualification programs and lecture series allow gaining deeper insights of the scientific questions within this research topic.
Research Associate (w/m/d)
Development of new cathode materials for Li-ion batteries
Chemical, electrochemical and electrical characterization of the materials (SEM/TEM, XRD, CV, RAMAN, FTIR, XPS, etc.)
Analysis of structure-property relationship
Presentation of results withn group seminars and project meetings
Holder of a university degree (master or equivalent) in natural or materials sciences with above average scores.
Interest in innovative and interdisciplinary topics.
Ideally experience in electrochemical properties of battery materials
High level of responsibility, initiative and team spirit.
High motivation for conducting a PhD thesis.
What we offer:
The position is to 3 years and is to be filled as soon as possible. This is a part-time position (50% of the standard weekly hours for full-time employees). It is possible to upgrade the part-time position to 66% of the standard weekly hours for full-time employees.
The successful candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree.
The salary corresponds to level EG 13 TV-L.
