Your responsibilities:

The duties include participation in research and teaching, in particular in the beginner's course ‘Computer-Oriented Mathematics’ and in the specialisation ‘Algorithmic Discrete Mathematics’ in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes, as well as conducting your own research in the field of discrete optimisation or a related field.

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed academic degree (Master's, Diploma or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science or a closely related subject
  • In-depth knowledge of algorithmic discrete mathematics
  • In-depth knowledge of combinatorial optimisation and discrete algorithms and related fields
  • the ability to teach in German and English is essential.
  • Above-average grades are desirable
