Within a third-party funded research project the TU Berlin will develop through means of ion-exchange and fs-laser structuring methods innovative SERS microplates made of glass.
The work at TU Berlin focusses on the development of SERS-substrates (Surface Enhanced Raman Spectrsoscopy) by nanoparticle integration. These nanoparticles will be integrating through ion-exchange processes. In addition, microplates made from glass will be developed using SLE processes (Selective Laser Etching). In combination with SERS, state-of-the-art substrates for analytics are being developed together with a project partner for use in biosensor technology in particular.
