Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Research Associate (PostDoc) - 0.5 working-time - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 2nd qualification period (Habilitation)

Working field:

  • Research and teaching at the Chair of Innovation Economics
  • Self-reliant organization and preparation of tutorials for the Chair’s lectures
  • Supervision of term papers, Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
  • Support in the completion of written and oral exams
  • Participation in empirical and interdisciplinary research projects in the context of innovation-related fields
  • Participation in raising external research funds

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in management, business administration, economics, industrial engineering or similar
  • Complete above-average dissertation in the field of innovation research or related areas
  • Profound theoretical knowledge in economics and/or management sciences
  • Knowledge in relevant empirical methods and in popular statistical programs (e.g., Stata, R or Python)
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.
  • Proof of successful acquisition of external project funds

Desirable:

  • Beneficial is a background in the economics of innovation, preferably linked either to the topic of sustainability or digitalization
  • Interest in applied research
  • Team-oriented personality with excellent communication skills
