Specifically, we are looking for your support regarding the research project Telemedical Centre for Out-of-Hospital Ventilation and Oxygen Therapy (T-CABS), which is funded by the Innovation Fund of the Joint Federal Committee and aims to improve the care of people with outpatient ventilation with the help of telemedical measures. Video consultations between patients and medical specialists are offered and interdisciplinary case conferences are organised as required. If successful, the telemedicine platform should ensure customised care for people on ventilators on an outpatient basis by helping to avoid potential complications, strengthen those affected in their disease management and avoid resource-intensive and stressful transports to hospital. The Department of Health Care Management is responsible for the economic evaluation of the project and, in this context, to answer the question of how the new form of care can be transferred to standard care if successful.
