Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Research Assistant - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • Teaching courses in electrical networks and energy supply and supervision ot theseses
  • Active participation in research and development of new research programms, especially in the field of modeling and simulation of networks
  • Cooperation with industry at national and international level
  • Supporting administrative processes

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in engineering sciences with a focus on electric energy supply and control technology
  • Good knowledge in the field of dynamic modeling of energy supply networks including power electronic converters is required
  • The ability to teach in German and/or English is required; willingness to acquire the language skills that are missing

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of techniques of model reduction is desirable
  • Experience as researcher in funded projects is advantageous
