Work­ing field:

You will research in a national innov­a­tion pro­ject on the sub­ject of cir­cu­lar eco­nomy. In this way you make an act­ive con­tri­bu­tion to improv­ing sus­tain­ab­il­ity in the fur­niture and equip­ment industry. You will develop a plat­form that defines busi­ness and pro­cessing pro­cesses together with the neces­sary data and IT con­nec­tions. With the help of this plat­form, the product life of fur­niture and equip­ment will be exten­ded by enabling innov­at­ive busi­ness mod­els within the frame­work of an effi­cient cir­cu­lar eco­nomy. In doing so, you cooper­ate closely with renowned part­ners from sci­ence and prac­tice.
At the TU Ber­lin, you are integ­rated into the inter­dis­cip­lin­ary team of the Indus­trial Inform­a­tion Tech­no­logy depart­ment, which has a strong focus on sus­tain­able product devel­op­ment.
There is also an oppor­tun­ity for doc­toral stud­ies.


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (dip­lom, mas­ter or equi­val­ent) in the fields of indus­trial engin­eer­ing, mech­an­ical engin­eer­ing, inform­a­tion tech­no­logy in mech­an­ical engin­eer­ing or sim­ilar
  • Know­ledge in the field of product devel­op­ment and design
  • Inde­pend­ent, sys­tem­atic and struc­tured work­ing meth­ods
  • Interest in the fields of sus­tain­ab­il­ity, product data man­age­ment, innov­at­ive busi­ness mod­els and cir­cu­lar eco­nomy
  • Very good know­ledge of Ger­man (busi­ness flu­ent)
  • Exper­i­ence in research, innov­a­tion or product devel­op­ment pro­jects is desir­able (but not man­dat­ory)
  • good Eng­lisch lan­guage skills are desired
