The Centre for Information Services and High Performance Computing (ZIH) offers two positions as Developer for HPC System Management Applications (Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 11 TV-L)
starting immediately. The positions initially are limited until 31.03.2022 (time limitation pursuant to TzBfG). Balancing family and career is an important issue. The positions are basically suitable for candidates seeking part-time employment.
As central scientific institution of the TU Dresden, ZIH is responsible for the communication infrastructure of the University, and operates the central IT infrastructure, including services and servers. In addition, with its interdisciplinary orientation, ZIH supports other departments and institutions in their research and education for all matters related to information technology and computer science.
administration and maintenance of high-performance computers; development, test, and support of site-specific software (e.g. Django web portal, plugins for SLURM batch system); installation and maintenance of scientific applications; support of HPC users.
professional graduate degree in computer science, mathematics, or similar; experiences in the administration of Linux systems, knowledge in programming (Python, C, Bash), high level of commitment in the familiarization with new systems and fields of activity; good English language skills as well as good communication skills in supporting scientists, and excellent team work skills.
