Research and development tasks within the context of the DFG project "Electron-Photonic Systems for Ultrafast Signal Processing" in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute for Telecommunications. The tasks include:
Research on the subject of optical signal processing with application in optical communication technology
Planning, construction and implementation of transmission experiments
Coordination of work with project partners
Publication of the project results in journals
Presentation of project results at national and international meetings and conferences
PhD thesis preparation is possible
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in electrical engineering.
Also required are:
Experience in optical communications
Fluency in English in speaking and writing
Practical experience in optical signal processing and multimode waveguides is desirable
Experience in programming with MatLab is favorable
