in the BMBF-fun­ded pro­ject „Micro­elec­tronic Sys­tem for Cell Sep­ar­a­tion (Sep­aDiElo)“

Work­ing field:

The suc­cess­ful can­did­ate will con­trib­ute to the sys­tem defin­i­tion and set-up of a micro­fluidic cell sep­ar­a­tion sys­tem on an elec­tronic basis for applic­a­tions in bio­tech­no­logy; plan­ing and imple­ment­a­tion of a labor­at­ory meas­ur­ing set-up for micro­fluidic exper­i­ments; test and invest­ig­a­tion of vari­ous indus­tri­ally applied microor­gan­isms with respect to their separ­ab­il­ity under vari­ation of elec­trical and geo­met­rical para­met­ers; par­ti­cip­a­tion in the devel­op­ment of a com­mer­cial util­iz­a­tion per­spect­ive.


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in the field of bio­tech­no­logy or another nat­ural or engin­eer­ing sci­ence
  • Abil­ity to fruit­fully inter­act in an inter­dis­cip­lin­ary pro­ject con­sor­tium and to inde­pend­ently carry out work and research
  • Good Eng­lish lan­guage skills
Desired exper­i­ences in or know­ledge of
  • sensors, actu­at­ors and/or biopro­cess engin­eer­ing,
  • micro -elec­tron­ics/-flu­idics or -sys­tem integ­ra­tion,
  • CAD and/or EDA soft­ware tools,
  • bio­elec­tron­ics or dielec­tro­phor­etic cell hand­ling,
  • mar­ket­ing and net­work­ing.
