Research Assistant (PostDoc) - 0.5 working time - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 2nd qualification period (Habilitation)
Collaboration in research and teaching (BA Sc., MA Sc. And M-Arch-T) of the department, applications for research projects, organization of conferences, workshops and summer schools, editing of publications, supervision of doctoral students.
The research interest of the architectural theory department is in the field of critical epistemology and philosophy of architecture. At its core, theory acts as a model and matrix of the process of thinking about architecture, between conceptual-creative, material-constructive, and cultural-social practice. The research applies to the systemization and specification of methods of architectural theory, philosophy of science, media theory (diagrammatic and media agency) and theory of history between philosophy, epistemology, digital humanities, ethics, semiotics and anthropology. The department maintains close research collaborations with universities in Italy, Japan, Israel and the USA.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and doctorate in architecture or philosophy with relevant experience in both fields. Experience with research applications and the acquisition of third-party funds, as well as study or research stays abroad. Very good knowledge of German and English (oral and written), knowledge of foreign languages, and the ability to work in a team are required.
