As a research asso­ci­ate in the field of space tech­no­logy, employ­ees can develop within their own work pack­ages, imple­ment their own ideas and, with spe­cial motiv­a­tion, work along­side their work­ing hours to advance their doc­tor­ate. Thanks to flex­ible work­ing hours, private and pro­fes­sional life can be optim­ally har­mon­ized. The iBOSS pro­ject offers excit­ing work in the field of satel­lite research in a com­pletely new and ground­break­ing satel­lite concept.

Work­ing field:

- Col­lab­or­a­tion in the research pro­ject iBOSS
- Soft­ware Engin­eer­ing
  • Satel­lite soft­ware devel­op­ment using C++, C, Python, embed­ded sys­tems, robot oper­at­ing sys­tems
  • Val­id­a­tion and Veri­fic­a­tion of Soft­ware
- Devel­op­ment and imple­ment­a­tion of net­work con­fig­ur­a­tion algorithms for the mod­u­lar satel­lite data net­work
  • Sim­u­la­tion of the data dis­tri­bu­tion concept in Mod­el­lica
  • Integ­ra­tion of the sim­u­la­tion in Ver­osim
- Thermal ana­lysis of mod­u­lar satel­lites
- Assembly, Integ­ra­tion and Test
- Com­mu­nic­a­tion with pro­ject part­ners
- pro­ject doc­u­ment­a­tion

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) der of Aero­naut­ics and Astro­naut­ics, Com­puter Sci­ence or com­par­able
  • Good Eng­lish and very good Ger­man lan­guage skills (spoken and writ­ten)

Advant­age­ous:
  • Exper­i­ence with the pro­gram­ming tool Eclipse
  • Good know­ledge of Mod­el­ica, XML, C, C++, Python
  • Know­ledge in the field of satel­lite tech­no­logy and soft­ware product assur­ance
  • Know­ledge of Eth­er­net bus pro­to­cols and (Time Triggered) Eth­er­net tech­no­lo­gies
