Work­ing field:

  • Pur­su­ing an inde­pend­ent and innov­at­ive research pro­ject in the research field of anti-Semit­ism and/or racism, pos­sibly related to the “Lan­ger­man col­lec­tion” (http://www.pressestelle.tu-berlin.de/menue/ tub_medien/pub­lika­tionen/medi­en­in­form­a­tionen/2017/okto­ber_2017/medi­en­in­form­a­tion_nr_1712017/)
  • Act­ive par­ti­cip­a­tion in the research and pub­lic rela­tions activ­it­ies of the Cen­ter for Research on Anti-Semit­ism
  • Pub­lish­ing of research res­ults
  • Reg­u­lar teach­ing at the under­gradu­ate and gradu­ate level in Eng­lish. The teach­ing would have to fit into the cur­riculum of the MA “Inter­dis­cip­lin­ary Research on anti-Semit­ism” (http://www.tu-berlin.de/fakultaet_i/zentrum_fuer_antisemitismusforschung/menue/studium_und_lehre/m_a_ stud­i­engang)
  • Enga­ging in assess­ment activ­it­ies and aca­demic admin­is­tra­tion

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Dip­lom, Mas­ter or equi­val­ent) in soci­ology, anthro­po­logy, lit­er­at­ure stud­ies or Islamic stud­ies
  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted PhD/DPhil in one of these dis­cip­lines
  • an innov­at­ive future pro­ject within the research area of the Cen­ter
  • excel­lent Eng­lish lan­guage skills, both oral and writ­ing
  • know­ledge of the Ger­man lan­guage would be ideal. The will­ing­ness to learn Ger­man is a require­ment
  • excel­lent com­mu­nic­a­tion, inter­per­sonal, and organ­isa­tional skills
