Rese­arch assist­ant – 0.67 work­ing time - salary grade 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD)

Work­ing field:

  • Rese­arch in the field of recyc­ling tech­no­lo­gies, in par­tic­u­lar pro­duct-based recyc­lab­il­ity assess­ment, devel­op­ment of sep­ar­a­tion tech­no­lo­gies and qual­ity assur­ance of sec­ond­ary raw mater­i­als.
  • Mod­ule admin­stra­tion and teach­ing in the field of cir­cu­lar eco­nomy and advan­ced recyc­ling tech­no­lo­gies, mater­ial flow ana­lysis and stat­ist­ical meth­ods in resource man­age­ment in Ger­man and Eng­lish lan­guage
  • Fur­ther devel­op­ment of the online-learn­ing port­fo­lio
  • Acquis­i­tion of and con­tri­bu­tion to third-party fun­ded pro­jects
  • Super­vi­sion of Bach­elor and Mas­ter stu­dents

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) with spe­cial­iz­a­tion in envir­on­men­tal engin­eer­ing, recyc­ling, pro­cess engin­eer­ing
  • Detai­led know­ledge and exper­i­ences in mech­an­ical and ther­mal unit oper­a­tions for waste treat­ment and recyc­ling, as well as gen­eral waste man­age­ment fun­da­ment­als
  • Very good know­ledge of stat­ist­ical meth­ods for envir­on­men­tal sci­ences
  • Exper­i­ence in edu­ca­tion and teach­ing and open­ness for tutor­ing diverse stu­dent groups
  • Excel­lent com­mand of Ger­man and Eng­lish (spo­ken and writ­ten)
  • Cap­ab­il­ity of and pas­sion for inde­pend­ent sci­ent­i­fic work­ing in a young and inter­na­tio­nal team
Addi­tion­ally, fol­low­ing skills are of advant­age:
  • Dis­cip­lin­ary know­ledge in raw mater­ial man­age­ment, mater­ial sci­ence, tech­nical chem­istry or metal­lurgy
  • Inter­cul­tural com­pet­en­cies
  • Exper­i­ence in online edu­ca­tion (moodle, etc.)
