Research Assist­ant - 0.5 work­ing time - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD)

Work­ing field:

  • par­ti­cip­a­tion in research and teach­ing at the depart­ment for Build­ing Archae­ology and Built-Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion
  • super­vi­sion and facil­it­a­tion of the sem­inar for archi­tec­tural sur­vey and doc­u­ment­a­tion-all meth­ods included (build­ing doc­u­ment­a­tion, room book, mater­ial and dam­age ana­lysis, con­ser­va­tion and util­iz­a­tion con­cepts), in the Mas­ter pro­gram of Build­ing Archae­ology and Built-Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion
  • sup­port in cre­at­ing depart­ment related pub­lic­a­tions (year­book)
  • organ­iz­a­tion, coordin­a­tion and exe­cu­tion of edu­ca­tion plans at the depart­ment
  • col­lab­or­a­tion and par­ti­cip­a­tion in the depart­ment's research pro­jects, espe­cially in the Middle East

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in archi­tec­ture; com­ple­tion of a mas­ter study in the field of Build­ing Archae­ology and Built-Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion is desired
  • deep know­ledge and expert­ise in the field of Build­ing Archae­ology and Built-Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion in the Middle East
  • very good know­ledge and expert­ise in digital and manual meth­ods of archi­tec­tural sur­vey and doc­u­ment­a­tion
  • good archi­tec­tural doc­u­ment­a­tion-rel­ev­ant com­puter skills (MS-Office; Adobe: Pho­toshop, InDes­ign, Illus­trator; AgiSoft Pho­to­scan; Auto­CAD. etc) with good know­ledge in web based applic­a­tions
  • good Eng­lish, Arabic and very good Ger­man skills
Addi­tional qual­i­fic­a­tions:
  • social com­pet­ence and empathy for cooper­a­tion with part­ners
  • good com­mu­nic­a­tion skills, a team spirit and the abil­ity to cope with stress
  • high degree of inde­pend­ence, struc­tured work­ing method, and per­sonal ini­ti­at­ive
  • abil­ity to work self-respons­ible together with col­lab­or­a­tion part­ners and team mem­bers
