Research Associate/ PostDoc in Environmental Humanities (m/f/x)

At the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies, Institute of German Studies and Media Cultures, the Chair of Digital Cultures offers a full-time position as

Research Associate/ PostDoc in Environmental Humanities (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting at the earliest possible date. The position is limited until December 31, 2026. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG).

Working field:

  • contribution to grant writing
  • developing research ideas and programs
  • support in publications
  • participation in conferences

Requirements:

  • university degree in any related field history of science, science technology studies, anthropology, geography, literature, and other possible fields intersecting with the call
  • applicant must have a PhD in hand, or to be completed by August 1, 2025, in a related field
  • strong background in relevant research areas
  • experiences with grant writing and development preferred
  • candidates with a publication record and experience with collaborative and interdisciplinary projects preferred. We are open to researchers experimenting with methods and mediums
  • We encourage applications from under-represented groups. Applicants do not need to be citizens of the EU. Knowledge of German is appreciated but not required. The working language is English.
